The 19th Events is a series of in-person programming throughout the year that brings audience members in community with leading voices in caregiving, climate, LGBTQ+ rights, and more. I designed a sub-brand system that distinguishes event content with a characteristic hand-drawn and screenprinted stylistic touch inspired in part by 20th century letterpress protest posters.
Our team drew inspiration from 20th century political design and letterpress posters. This characteristic tight kerning of tall, sans-serif type and use of scale in both type and image served as a bedrock for our events design system. I married these typographic hallmarks with vibrant colors derived from our main palette to create a design system that invited iteration.
